Settings

This is the place for settings and looks. Here you can create and load backups of your currently active configuration and fine tune things. Manipulating settings can be interesting for advanced users. Print: All currently active settings of the device are printed to the Nearby Chat.

Load: All settings which were written into the physical .settings card are re-loaded.

Reboot: Restarts all scripts orderly and restores menu integrity without losing settings or owners.

Position/Rotation/Size: The device can be adjusted by the wearer and also by authorized avatars, such as Owners. Adjustment arrows and rotation curves are correctly working for traditional collar spots, that means the neck, the spine and the chest attachment spots.

☐/☒ Stealth: This will not only hide a device but it also temporarily stores all appearance values for “glow” and such configuration that would otherwise be prone to glitches. In other words, “stealth” will remember how your collar was and reveal it correctly when re-toggled.

Themes/Looks: Opens a selection of themes. Choose one from the menu and wait a brief moment until it is applied to your collar. Depending on how complex the theme itself is and how many themes the particular artwork has, this might take a while or can happen almost instantly.

NOTE: Premium designs by virtualdisgrace.com have custom made scripts for adjusting looks that are easy to use, designs by other brands usually have texture and color change HUDs to adjust looks.

Setting Backups While creating a backup is fairly straightforward, the creation of custom settings is only something very advanced users should attempt.

We cannot recommend in good conscience to compose settings from scratch. The safest approach would be to take a fresh Peanut No. 9 device and set everything that should indeed be backed up or pre-configured. Then print these settings to Nearby Chat and copy them.

The old and cumbersome method to load settings was via notecard. In this case, the card is called “.settings” with a dot in front and has to go into the “storage” element of the collar. This method is mostly useful for pre-configured cosmetic features, i.e. for custom leashes.

Peanut N°9 is also able to parse settings as RAW data from websites. Wendy Starfall has a few pre-made settings in her git repository.
